Established in 1981 and commenced operations in 1987, Borno Investment Company Limited (BICL) is a private Limited Liability Company wholly owned by the Borno State Government. BICL has a wide portfolio of investments in 36 quoted companies and 14 unquoted companies within and outside the state.

The main aim of the company is to stimulate the promotion of both private and public investments to hasten the industrial growth and development of the Borno State. This will be achieved by promoting, financing, and implementing small, medium, and large-scale projects in the manufacturing commercial, financial, and service sectors of the Nation’s economy through equity and loan or loan investment.
